DUNEDIN POOL ASSOCIATION

Good tournament run smoothly once again by the DPA, namely Riannah, Tony and Ron, good work guys...and gal and to Sam for keeping Q Rooms warm and accomodating as ever!  Friday night ran on a bit, which was inevitable with the schedule of matches to get through, but there was an excellent atmosphere all weekend which was great.  Fairly good turnout, but I reckon we can get loads more players involved in future events...  High standard of pool throughout the event, despite too many players chancing their arms at ridiculously low percentage combination shots (I did NONE all weekend I might add...) so the future of DPA is looking good as we look forward to the South Island Championships in Christchurch next month.

What does everyone else think that played and/or watched?

Oh and fair play to the 'misely and miserable' Gilly who dominated his group and then the top half of the draw all the way to the final!  He'll love me qouting how the Southern newsrag described him when he won that snooker comp in Gore...     

Yeah maggi, it was a great weekend and i think everyone enjoyed themselfs. The standard of play was high and enjoyable to watch, Dunedin pool is getting stronger (watch out canterbury we coming to get you's next lol).
