Kia ora koutou,
I was a little disappointed to have one junior DPA member point out to me how 'easy' it is for us women to win tournaments and how he 'wishes he was a lady' so he too could reap the benefits of the easy pickings in the women's ranking tournaments.
I don't agree with this players comments. I think that in a tournament setting, the women's titles are hard fought. I also know for me to have the slightest chance of getting into a final or semi-final, I have to be in the frame of mind to play the best pool of my life.
Furthermore, if you look at the international scene, women pool players are some of the best out there; look at the likes of Jeanette Lee.
Anyway, I am interested to hear what other pool players think about this?

Hi K8 Having seen you play over the years, you deserved to win your recent tournament and also accordingly deserve as much credit as your male counterparts - Well Done! Whether or not there is 10 entries or 50 entries does not detract from your acheivement. Perhaps the person who made this comment would like to play you sometime? Or maybe their ego would get bruised....? Cheers, N

I agree nathan, weather its a mens or womens section, the standard of play is high, this player that said that to you has no idea what he is talking about, and yeah maybe you should give him a game and see how he goes

I have been around all cue sports for many years....i agree with the above.. there is nothing wrong with the standard of the womens game...(they are no different to the men when playing under pressure) look what happened to myself and brendon when the pressure came on in the last tournament,we couldn't pot a ball over the pocket. (i have been thrashed many times by our women players)
